You should find out the cause. From research we know the vast number of murders are personal, victim knowing murderer well. If that's the case here, you don't become safer by moving somewhere unfamiliar to you.

You can find out by calling local news reporter, county clerk, possibly police depart.

If it's drug/crime related, then you should be more concerned. Might consider sharing what you find out with landlord, & talk about ideas to make it safer. A Community (apart) Watch group makes a huge difference on crime activity.

I watched Black Friday 2015 videos on YouTube and I will never understand it. Why do people let corporations make them look stupid? People were stampeded, items were being taken from kids, people were fighting each other for items, etc. It's all so fucked up.
