What do you guys think....I'm gonna get a ps2 (Yeah, I know how behind I am, I'm still chillin' with my psone and dreamcast)...Anyways, I'll be getting the slimline model which comes through a local EB retailer pretty affordably with a few games, yknow....your standard package.
Now, I always figured I'd get it chipped...but, now it seems like on the release of the x360 and upcoming release of the ps3...I don't know if there's a point. Seems to me the originals are now available second hand, and even new at pretty damn low prices...sure, now AS low as the prices I can personally get on copied games, but I've heard modding severely effects the lifespan of the unit, especially the ps2...so, what do you reckon...is it worth having it modded, or should I just deal with having "cheap but not as cheap" ps2 originals?

Star Ocean 3. I missed this game when it came out, and recently picked it up for cheap. Pretty cool RPG so far, although I've only played about 15 hours.
