Ah, that's a shame. He gave the world a lot of enjoyment. A prolific and original filmmaker.

For those of you who don't know who he was, he played Count Waldemar Daninsky in several Wolf-Man films of the early 70s, most of them in Spanish. He was one of the most hard-working filmmakers of our genre, often contributing a ton to his limited budget works. A true contributor to the popularity of horror back in the 70s.

Cancer took him. 75 years old. Died in Madrid.

Gene Barry, who starred in three hit TV series, Bat Masterson, Burke's Law and The Name of Game, died Wednesday in Los Angeles at age 90, his son, Fredric James Barry, said Thursday.

The cause of death was not disclosed.

In films, Barry had starred in the 1953 production of the War of the Worlds and appeared opposite Clark Gable in Soldier of Fortune in 1955. On stage, he received a Tony nomination in 1984 for his role as a gay night club owner in La Cage aux Folles.

Aw, that sucks. Bat Masterson was one of my faves as a kid, and I liked Burke's Law too. RIP Gene.
