In theory, I'm with you, monkey. There's no denying Hope's place in comic history- but like Scouse, I've just never cared for him. Even as a kid, he wasn't that funny to me. His humor was always a bit square. He's practically the only classic comedian I would vote against.

I'm a much bigger fan of Diller- I always thought her act was hilarious. I really really appreciate the outrageousness of Jack Black, though. The early Tenacious D stuff- before it got put on album, was really original and groundbreaking, IMO. He's a really good actor too. Check out his hilarious role in Cradle Will Rock, for instance.

Hope has amused me many times over the years, but Jack Black makes me laugh out loud.
