If youve read his horror most of his movies dont come close to the book. The biggest example would be the Shining. That being said id say Shawshank Redemption and Green Mile.

Dear sir,I agree with you and I have read many of his books including the Shining and I know the glaring differences from the book to the film.But I am only speaking of the movie and I was thoroughly entertained by it.Yes I am aware to the question to this thread but the Shining remains on my list.Dont hold a grudge against me kind sir,I am just stating my opinion.:cool:

No, but the entire story simply feels different in the black and white style. The story really comes to life and the CG blends far better. I missed the theatrical on this one and when I heard that Darabont not only intended for the film to be b/w, but offered a b/w version on the DVD I bought it immediately and watched the b/w version before seeing the color version.

It is fantastic.

The version over here was just the colour one. I can definitely see it working really well in B&W, might have to import the set with both versions.

Shawshank and Green mile for sure,also Misery and quite a few others but my favourite is The Dead Zone.Class.
