although that almost wasnt horror, more like action suspense. but horror it fits into

i'm gonna say the original frankenstein. that is a true horror classic.

NOTLD, it pushed the envelope of what you can show in terms of gore and nudity. ( one zombie was nude from behind. Tame now but racy by 60's standards) Really opened the door for films like Friday13th, noes, and the likes
