Forthcoming superhero movie The Green Hornet just got a whole lot weirder and a whole lot cooler when a brand new casting announcement was made last week.
According to The LA Times, heavy metal band Anvil will make an explosive appearance in the film, playing - you've guessed it - in a rock club. For those not in the know, Anvil hit big in the early 1980s before their career nose-dived at the tail-end of the decade. Rock documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil has seen them undergo something of a renaissance this year however, culminating in the aforementioned blockbuster cameo. The Green Hornet is currently shooting under the watchful eye of Anvil fan Michel Gondry, with Seth Rogen taking the title role, and Cameron Diaz, Christoph Waltz, Edward James Olmos, Tom Wilkinson and Jay Chou lending support.
