Well, 10 years ago this was me, so i guess I can speak pretty clearly about what would scare him or not, since it wasn't THAT long ago. Even though like already stated, it depends on the kid. I'd recommend Creature from the Black Lagoon, it isn't really scary, but it has a certain level of scare that people can all enjoy. Stuff like Jaws/ anaconda are great for younger crowds too. Maybe House?

Hmm, I'm not real sure about that one...Anything where something in a dream can 'get you', tends to make some kids afraid to go to sleep

I wont recommend anything with gore so soon...because his mind is still coming to grasps with the horror genre. He needs to feel at home first, then he can go into the slasher/gore stuff.

Yes, remember, first it's apple sauce, then cooked vegetables chopped into little pieces, and then big pieces of cooked vegetables, and then raw vegetables. You gotta work up to it.

Yeah...House could be a little much. It's got some goofy visuals, but it still has a creepiness level that may be just a little high for a child...If I had seen it as a kid, it would have freaked me out.

Hey, even the Thumb-Thumbs in Spy Kids are a little scary.

You can try some horror comedy movies such as The Monster Squad, Hellboy and Nightbreed. Then try out some Stephen King movies, ones which dont have much blood or killings in them. Some Hammer horror movies with Christopher Lee as Dracula are good to watch for him.
