Ok. I hate work, just like the rest of you. But here's my deal. I work at a grocery store:
I fucking hate people who treat me like absolute dirt. Look, I'm a 16 year old kid bagging groceries, so that means I'm a shitty troublemaker who does a lot of drugs and is rude yadda-fucking-yadda. I greet everyone with a smile and a greeting (good morning, good afternoon, how are you mam'?, etc.) But I'd say 40% of the time they just stare at me or look away. I feel like absolute shit. Fuck you, you ignorant rich prick snobs. Ok, thanks. |

So to anyone else, I guess the moral of the story is a smile or a simple "hello" goes a long, long way. |

I do as well. I always try to be pleasant to the ones bagging the groceries, because let's face it, if I'm not, they put the cans on top of the bread. ;) But I also used to work in a grocery store so I know how it is.

i hate people who are pricks to service people .. i stopped hanging around some girl once because of how she treated someone getting a coffee one day ... (too bad too .. she had nice legs and i wanted to tap that booty) I'm always friendly and chat with them a bit (unless they are the ones giving me the 'dont talk to me' vibe) I've seen a lot of young kids with the 'i'm bored - fuck off' attitude but i dont assume they're all that way .. |

Occasionally Urge's avatar is seen bagging groceries at the local supermarkets, and that's when things get downright weird, folks.
But seriously, try to be nice to all people. And if someone treats you rudely, try to understand that they're either having a bad day or had a traumatic childhood (it is usually one of these two things). If you're really being belligerent, just stare at them as if they are speaking some strange language that you do not understand. |
