Episode 2 was on last night. Dewberry washed out. I predicted accurately who would end up on the chopping block, because DB and Jeff fucked up huge.

Its funny, the commercials paint gordon to be a thoughtless, egomanaiacal bastard, but so far, i have yet to see him do anything completely out of line.

The part that got my blood boiling was actually the dickhead with the "phd in music education" ....

Who had a pizza delivered to a restaraunt. i would have fucking killed him. then he starts trying to bump chests with the matre'd. it was beautiful though. some short guy stormed up and said "You. You're gone, out!" and the guy tucked his tail and left. fucking pussy.

A PHD isnt going to slow down a fist, you arrogant dick.

read in the paper this morning over me cornflakes, an article about Ramsey and the owner of Bonaparte's reasturant, featured in last years series.

in short... apparantly her business went downhill after he'd left and reorganised her menu, customers dwindled and she ended up trying to sell the business, that failed, so she put the premesis up for sale, that failed to. Now she's filing for bankruptcy. There was no info on how bad the business was actually doing before he arrived and changed things around, but I'm quite sceptical it was all to do with what he did and what he changed. I know variations in menus people are used to can be offputting for some customers. Or maybe she had a large clientel of regular customers who liked what she was doing, and Ramseys intervention ruinied it all??

she's now going to write a book of her troubles, and hopes it becomes a tv series about the ups and downs of a reasturant owner... in the hope she claws back some of her lost finances.

I watched the first 2 episodes. Pretty entertaining stuff! I was a line chef for 4 years and during that time I had one sous chef who made Gordon Ramsey look like a fucking teddy bear. This guy, (he made us call him 'Duke' What a fag.) was not only verbally and mentally abusive, but physically too. On eof the dishwashers had to pull a knife on him once because he felt so threatened. Another time Duke rolled a full kitchen cart off food at me as hard as he could and I had both hands full of two trays of potatoes. Another time he threw a pumpkin across the kitchen at me and hit me in the back of the shoulder (I wasnt even looking at him.). He was the sort of guy that would be just fine one minute and then something insignificant could happen and it would just absolutely set him off. We believe he was bi-polar and seldom took his medicine.

Anyways, Gordon Ramsey's an excellent chef. He's treating his chefs with much more respect than Duke would and my guess is that he wont even try to physically hurt them at all. If Duke was stuck in the kitchen with people as incompetent as the ones they have on the show, I'm almost positive he would commit the act of murder... Probably on Dewberry.

Well, as luck would have it, Dewberry is gone. Im sure on some level he is relieved beyond belief.

Im glad Carrolanne got canned. She started off nice, but it turned out she was a mean lazy bitch.
