I probably only though that cause I saw a butchered version....It was edited for TV, then had new scenes added in to make it better on DVD....

Dont get me wrong, It was a very good movie. Just, as I said....overrated

The ORIGINAL TCM not only owns all those movies, and not only almost ALL other horror movies, but almost ALL OTHER MOVIES PERIOD....

There are few movies out there that evoke a pure sense of distubance and awe as TCM.....its more an experience and less a typical horror movie.....then again i may be biased;)

least scary-P&tP
2nd least - HoHH
3nd most - DotD
most scary - TCM

DotD and TCM are two of the best ones out there. I know you already rented your films, but if I were you (and I hand't rented them yet), I'd watch the original Night of the Living Dead (it's not rated so your ol' man would let you get it) instead of Pit and the Pendulum, and Ginger Snaps instead of HoHH.

If your line up went Ginger Snaps, NotLD, DotD, TCM, your friends would worship you for showing them how kick ass horror can be.
