"Deadgirl"--I heard good things, but wasn't very impressed. 5/10

S.Darko

Despite the fact that this movie should never have even been conceptualized, it was and curiosity got the better of me. It was a bit of a mess, it had none of the wit that Donnie Darko had which is somthing that made that movie so great. Also it was a much weaker cast, it wasn't unwatchable and maybe even a little better than I expected, but overall just unecesary. Not taking the origanal into consideration in near imposible when watching this movie and that is it's main fault.

Fanboys

It just wasn't that funny, great concept but a rather bad script, probably not the best cast either. Utterly dissapointing.

4/10

White Heat (1949)

After being so very let-down by Public Enemies last week, I've been craving a proper gangster flick - and this one more than fit the bill.

A fast paced, electrifying film that absolutely bristles with energy and tension from the very start. Cagney's Cody Jarrett has to be one of the most dynamic, unforgettable characters ever to appear on film - psychotic, charismatic, unpredictable and at times hilarious and tragic...I'll admit I haven't seen a large portion of his work, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say this has to be one of Cagney's greatest performances.

The plot is one to keep you on the edge of your seat, and once the tension starts building it doesn't stop until the explosive conclusion. Goddamn, what a great movie.

Made it, Ma! Top of the world!

I'm a huge Donald Sutherland fan, and I daresay that's my favourite performance from him. Makes the whole movie.

I agree.

One of my favorite 'war' films.
