Just watched this one as well. The whole thing was pretty good with the last segment and the insect segment being standouts. I found the dialogue about fear in between the shorts to be trite and annoying though.
Glad you liked it and yeah..those dialogues were only disturbingly boring part of the film.

last seen:

Night Train (2009)

At the beginning it looked like to be an interesting thrill ride but at the end they ruined everything.

Been watching a lot of flicks as potential remakes (sorry guys) and among them was this gem

The Last of Sheila
ames Coburn, James Mason, Richard Benjamin, Dyann Cannon, Raquel Welch and Ian McShane star in this super-twisty, game-themed murder mystery set on the Mediterranean. The characters are a little too "Hollywood Insider" for me and James Coburn isn't used nearly enough, but the tale is still fun, snarky and dark.

So tonight was my second go at Repo the genetic Opera. It's growing on me but, it might be that I really had to have my friends around for me to get into it. Thinking of going to a back to back shadowcast of Repo and then Rocky Horror in Toronto this month.

Reincarnation [Rinne] (2005)

Very decent horror film, way better than Takashi Shimizu's previous disturbingly boring effort Marebito! Thanks to NE & Chrono for the recommendation.

Amusement (2009)

The clown part was cool but rest of the film...pretty mediocre.

Vacancy 2

I didn't really get into it. It's set before the first movie, and is ment to explain the story of how it all came to be. But the way they told the story took away from any intensity the first movie had.. The score was probably the best thing about it and that wasn't amazeing either.

Othello: The Tragedy of the Moor (2008)

Pretty solid adaptation. It's quite truncated, but the only real victim of the editing is Desdemona: she's sadly reduced to little more than a plot device. Otherwise, it's actually quite well done: Carlo Rota's Othello is fantastic, and - despite a few missing bits - Matthew Deslippe makes a great, conniving Iago.

It's nothing mind-blowing - and purists would loathe it for the omissions - but if you're just a casual fan of the play it's worth seeing.

Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay

I never want to see another movie with Kal Penn in it!

The Astro Zombies. It's always been my favorite songs by the Misfits so I finally got to see it and I loved it. I loved the Sexy/cruel Tura Satana. I loved how B it was and loved how it was older with the look and music but still somewhat violent. Pretty slow as are most movies from that era, but I enjoyed it.
