Vibe would be a good word to describe Children, I loved the look and idk just seeing them walking towards the house just creeped me out for some odd reason.

Just watched Children of the Corn III: Wow, the only thing I remembered was the giant...rat...thing, I actually liked it, very crappy but I liked it. Charlise Theron was in a few shots lol. I thought it was hilarious when the giant rat picked up the black girl and they used a barbie doll HAHAHA. Eli the main antagonist did a good job as the weird kid, although nothing near as creepy as Issac.

Yep, they are both good movies.

Now, Children of the Corn (the first one) is really, really good but I can not remember anything from part 3. Think I'v seen it but i'm not sure. As we all know there are crappy movies that are fantastic and there are crappy movies that are just crappy. I'll this one a look nad let you know what I think. I'v got it on DVD somewhere...

Some hilarious moments in that movie.

Was it Children of the Corn Part 2 where they drop the house on the old lady?

Just watched a movie called Nightmare city. I guess it's one of the first running zombie films? I liked it but to me they weren't really zombies, they communicated with each other, used weapons, knew what they were doing and just seemed like humans that got a virus and were violent and bloodthirsty, not in the sense of a blind drive for human flesh. I thought it was a cool movie, the make-up pretty much all seemed the same, burnt heads..kinda reminded me of those boys that have the hairy face disorder. The wolf boys.

All the boys love Mandy Lane

At first I thought this was going to be trashy and teeny, it was for a while, but getting deeper into it when you saw the other side to it, well it just got creepy, fucked up in a realistic fashion. There was some suttle elements that made it seem more than possible this is happening. I ended up really likeing it.

7/10

Fortress 2

I just caught this on T.V, there is so much over the top bullshit in this movie...

5/10

Oh, Nightmare City is a good movie by Umberto Lenzi. Action, attitude, blood, feeling, good acting (Hugo Stiglitz is amazing) and a wonderful twist at the end is what makes it so great. Some people see it as a zombie movie but I compltetly disagree. I see it as a mutant movie! These are not dead people coming back from beyond the grave but victims of a nuclear disaster that has made them into some kind of monsters. Good movie!

Brand Upon the Brain! (2006)

I hate to sound like a broken record, but has anyone else seen this?

You've got me incredibly intrigued...but the only Maddin film I can find around here is My Winnipeg. Is it worth seeing too?

I'll keep an eye out for Brand Upon the Brain! though, sounds right up my alley.

Personally, I enjoyed Brand Upon the Brain! more, but My Winnipeg is still a fantastic film. One of the best of last year, hands down. Let me know what you think!

Miracle at St Anna

I like war movies....this one wasn't bad...could have been trimmed by 30 to 40 minutes.

Possession

One of the HDC 100 Hidden Gems. Really enjoyed this. Extremely bizarre movie, I'm glad zwoti pointed it out.

Alice
I'm a big fan of Svankmajers stop animation. For the most part I loved it, but Alice's constant lip narration started to annoy me half way through.
