dvds:
*Superman Special Edition...got it because apparently the new one takes place after this, so I thought I'd rewatch it, it's been years.
*Superman 2 - 'cos I'm probably gonna get 'em all now, I have this weird continuity thing and unless a sequel is like mega-bad, I'll usually buy it.
*The breakfast club - ALWAYS wanted it on dvd, got it for $15AUD brand new, which is pretty cheap.
*LOGANS RUN!!! I LOVE this film...CLASSIC action/sci-fi. Brand new for $7AUD, which is really fuck-all.

Also...went to an antique shop in my local area, which sells antiques, old stuff, books, junk, gadgets...I swear, every time I go here I realise it's one of my favourite places to be...the store owner isn't a prick like some either, he won't follow you around the joint (and it's two levels), and he'll encourage you to tinker with stuff...which is a far cry from SOME people that operate stores like this.
So, I found something I liked...a nice black glass bottle on top of which was a battery operated dispenser that looks like a statue, when the liquid is dispensed via a button press, the guy pisses it out...who WOULDN'T this appeal to. The insides looked pretty old, but I bought it anyway as they looked simple to repair even if they werent working, and they took modern batteries too. So I bought it, the guy wrapped it in newspaper and sent me on my way. Unfortunately, spal dropped the thing, and smashed the bottle, which is unfortunate because it was a really nice bottle... The mechanism and "statue" werent damaged at all though, so now it's a matter of finding a bottle (or having glass blown) at the right size for the thing to sit upon. No big deal...just funny how bad luck happens...thought I'd share.

i was ....

Bram Stokers Dracula ... another Hannibal Lecter performance by wild tony hopkins and 2 of the worst performances by winona ryder and keanu reeves. (and i never understood the euro-gutter appeal of oldman in this film... he just looks goofy to me)

Interview With a Vampire ... 'Brokeback Nosferatu'

i found myself growing weary of the closeups of Brad Pitts pouting face or Tom Cruises inability to speak with fake fangs in his mouth.
I guess if you like the homo-erotic fiction of Anne Rice you'll like the movie.

sorry - you asked !

i'd stick with the dawn of the dead... then save your money for Cemetary Man coming out soon..
