also orangestar .. i'm sorry if i offended you.. it's just my stance on abortion... i obtained it after studying child developmental psychology last semester and i just suddenly realized that i can't see how anyone can use the "it's my body" excuse once brain development begins...

so yea that's just my stance... people will argue over that forever but i simply say... fuck responsibly ;)

cephalo development just means brain development.. the term used to describe the development of a fetus is "cephalocaudic".. literally meaning 'head to tail' ... so you get a brain and then nervous system and then detailing of the limbs and such ...

No. Sorry, but I don't think I'd vote for you. Some of your ideas I would go for, but you're slightly too liberal for my taste. (No offense, obviously.)

Who's going to live in the housing projects? The poor and those on Welfare.
Who's going to benefit greatly from the sale of their land to the government? The wealthy golf course owners.
Who's left footing the bill by way of takes? The working class.

Your stance on abortion isn't firm whatsoever. 'It would be discouraged'? What's that mean? Someone standing outside of every clinic shaking their head and saying, "I wouldn't do that if I were you?" That pretty much already happens and it doesn't do anything.

I disagree with your stance on same sex 'marriage', but my objection is to the use of the word 'marriage'. See the other thread (Who are you gonna vote for in November?) for more detail into my stance on this.

Gun control, religion, and national security, I'm right there with ya.

As for education, it's the parents. Actually, I blame the fact that 'political correctness' won't allow a parent to discipline their child without the possibility of having the State Dept. come in and take them away. So, now we have a generation of kids growing up thinking they can do whatever they want, then doing it, getting away with it or getting a minimal 'slap on the wrist'. (Not literally of course! That would be child abuse! [/sarcasm]) Since there is no consequence to the doing whatever they want, they have no reason to stop or change. The parents need to get off their ass and teach their kids how to act.

Actually people think I am pretty right wing, the idea is to get people off of welfare, dont you think that we have become a society that is too dependent on the govt.? I think that 70 years ago during the depression people helped each other out, not the govt. I can tell you that if I was taxed less I would give more to those in need. The homeless have to go somewhere dont they? I didnt say sell golf courses to the govt. I know the idea sounds crazy but something needs to be done. I have to say I dont know too many people that would step over someone sleeping on the sidewalk.

As for abortion I think that it is wrong, but since Iam a male and have no idea what it is like to have a baby, what gives me the right to tell a woman what they can and cannot do with there bodies? I am really unsure of when life really begins, so I dont know when to say it is too late for this. I think since its legal it will never be made illegal and it is something that has to be dealt with. My problem with the right is preaching abstaining from sex, yeah right thats going to happen. With parents who dont have enough "time" to be involved with their childrens lives it isnt going to happen. There are few parents who teach their kids anything about sex and those that do should be given a fucking medal for getting involved and actually raising what they created.

Same sex marriage-I dont care who created the word, be it the French, Christians or whatever people have the right to pursue happiness. It doesnt bother me and I really dont see a problem with it. If 2 people love each other what difference does it make? Its wrong because the church says so? My religion doesnt say a damn thing about it.

About political correctness in education, my kids get discipline in many different forms, and some may see it as abuse for whatever reason. Believe me I know the difference between abuse and discipline I had to live with it growing up until I moved out at 17. But I will be damned if some govt. employee is going to tell me how to raise my children. Someone from the govt. comes and tries to take my kids from me for some alleged abuse they are going to get the business end of a shotgun in the face. In my home state, the govt. has decided that they are going to evaluate your childs mental status and they are going to decide whether or not they need treatment. Oh I think not!!! my state rep. has got the call from me on that, I dont want the government in any way shape or form involved in my childs life. And if they dont like that I will yank them out of school and home school them.
