I watched Monsters yesterday, and I have to say I was really impressed. The only complaint I had was the Monsters in question were so awesome I wanted to see far more of them.

I did find the initial premise of "Monsters" intriguing, and the scenes with the monsters were very well-done.
But is was a terrible, rambling mess. The plot was scatter-brained, the individuals were not in the least credible, and I've yet to understand what the point of it was. Just because we hardly get any decent horror films doesn't mean we have to lower our collective standards. Now on to "Super 8"-I saw the trailer and I'm glad to see the football coach from the TV series "Friday Night Lights" is doing his thing. I think he's a great actor and deserves more work. Here are some questions-is "Super 8" the prequel to "Cloverfield"? If so, are any of the original cats from "Cloverfield" involved in the making of this new horror film?
