I heard that New Jersey got twice as much snow as Long Island. I guess the plows just couldn't keep up with it.

The one thing I really hate about Long Island is the inability to go anywhere without having to drive through the city.

We did! The roads might be the worst ive ever seen, which is sayin something. It seems to me like public works just plain didnt know the snowstorm was gonna hit us.

I was!!!!
Friggin snow plows. The highways looked like somekinda horror movie cause it was full of abandoned cars. I have chains for my tires so the next morning and about an hour of digging i finally got it out but there were about a dozen cars still just sitting there on a major highway. It was crazy.
Jersey....a love/hate relationship.

It did seem like Jersey didn't know it was going to happen. But, more then likely it's lack of money from town to town that kept the plows off the road.

If you're ever going to Jersey from LI: Take the Southern State to the Belt Parkway. Go over the Verazanno and then depending on where in Jersey you're going, you can take the Goethels or the Outerbridge Crossing.

From my home in Jersey back to Babylon using these directions, it's only 60 miles. Jones Beach or Nassau Coliseum less then 50 miles. I wish I knew that all those years ago when I used to see Springsteen at the Continental Arena, or when I'd go to Atlantic City via the Jersey Turnpike. What a dumbass I was.

Atlantic City ONLY take the Garden State Parkway.

Good for you. I think I have had enough and am now going to hire someone. The 2 car driveway we have is a bitch to shovel (and that's all I have, a shovel) and my back is still hurting from the last snowstorm. I'm getting too old for this happy crappy.

Yet another Eastern seaboard blizzard. Heard the I-95 in Connecticut had people stranded overnight. This is getting ridiculous.
