Hooters fired me because i missed too many days. Its hard to juggle life and work with my little girl anything that happens to her is more important and for a while she had the flu and no one would babysit.

kids come first.

try to get an office job in a bigger established place where you have some protection - and regular sick days.

again - i showed great restraint and didnt make the "hooters = jiggle life" joke.

plus i didnt want to risk another thumbs down.

Haha thank you for the restraint. I think hooters was not a very good job for a mom to work at either.

any job is a good job ... the problem is that any service industry job is pretty bad with the benefits ... when you have a kid you REALLY need decent benefits .. although i dont know if they are as good as up here (canada) because of the differences in our healthcare systems

Um- hate to break it to ya, but there is a REASON they quit.
Most nurses and everybody under nurses are treated like crap and paid crap and have crappy hours

If you are interested in nursing-go straight into the RN program, yes it's alot of school but now they have special degrees you can work online during the week and do your clinicals on Friday.

Get a loan, most on line schools have a great system where they have people work with you every step of the way.
And here's the best part: once you get your RN degree=you can work doubles on the weekend and make a very good living.:)
So all you need is good childcare for 2 days which cut your daycare costs as well.
Not to mention less uniforms , eating out , gas , etc etc.-it all makes the working mom costs go exponentially DOWN:cool:

Good luck chickie, you'll do alright;)

You sound like a good mommy, I'm liking you better all the time:cool:
