And honestly, you didn't miss much...Just a few misunderstandings, accusations, indignation and insults, along with a bit of perceived persecution...Nothing that benefitted the forum, and hopefully nothing that will be continued

I hope the apology's accepted. Viciousness occurred all around, but I don't think we should ban somebody for calling out what she sees as belligerent behavior. We need to chill out and stop infighting. Period. Some of us broke the forum's rules about saying things that were directly insulting. We were called out by a new member, perhaps sanctimoniously but not completely unfairly. Nella deserves praise for her courage now that she's sought redemption for being excessively sensitive. There were some of us that I felt like telling off for being malicious, but I didn't and she did. Other than all the PC crap, brand X liberal whining and lawyering that was brought up, she's a cool chick in my book.

Rayne, my apology is sincere. However, I do not agree that you weren't out of line. You asked me if I could read and you even asked me if English was my first language! That is very belittling! I even posted an apology to you in that thread for making a mistake as I read a couple of posts wrong and retaliated.

I was not telling you all how to run the forum but I have a right to disagree when someone is being ridiculed. The "official" new posts in the general forum were taking up nearly half of the front page. If you don't see that that is unnecessary and childish, then the problem is not mine. You even told me I should leave and you allowed the attack on me to continue so I had no choice but to defend myself. I know that some of the things I said were wrong. However, I did not call anyone names (I'm not referring to urge's post or the one that said cunt in it.)

When I came here, you did not say hello to me. You did not even interact with me until I posted that thread. I know you all have had problems with other members in the past so I can sort of understand your wariness of newbies.

You will have to point out the threads with my "incessant complaining." I don't think my complaints have been incessant or demanding. I have not instigated anything either. There is a PROBLEM when the other members gang up on a newbie, especially last night. (I'm referring to another newbie who hasn't done anything wrong, including myself except in that thread I posted last night.)

(My first two posts in that thread were not cruel and unnecessary.) When I introduced myself here, Return was the first to make a snide remark when I said I liked it here. Zwoti even commented on his remark and showed a list of members who had been banned. Return decided to edit his post afterward. Not many members welcomed me. That is ok. I just think that some of the other members are not completely innocent in regards to this whole thing. As I said, you all have had a problem with newbies causing trouble in the past. That does not mean we newbies are all gonna be that way.

When I said that last night was a big mess, I was also referring to my own posts. Also, I did not direct that thread at a lot of members who decided to post in it with hateful remarks to me. Even newb and Jenna had no valid reason to say what they said. They were not even posting in the threads I pointed out. At least, I don't think they were. I didn't read all of those threads but the titles of them were obviously meant to harass a newbie. Why you don't see that is beyond me. I don't think you're unkind. I just think that you're being unfair. I don't expect you all to change but I refuse to be badgered. That other newbie decided to participate in my thread. He called me "flamebait" which was unwarranted. I had never said anything to him.

I did make a lot of posts in the wrong threads. I am new here for goodness sake. I've even apologized for distracting members by doing so. My intent wasn't to cause trouble when I came to HDC. I was genuinely interested in the forum because I saw a link to it on another website I was reading.

I'm posting this only to defend myself. I don't want to leave the forum and I will not complain anymore. Two members who weren't involved in the discussion (if that's what it's called) last night posted in this thread saying, more or less, that it was ok. One mentioned that the members here are unforgiving. That, too, is sad. Two wrongs don't make a right. I can go on without an apology from anyone involved in my thread last night. I know I've done what's right, in my opinion, by apologizing here.

I've seen lots of posts I didn't agree with before last night and I simply ignored them. I will say, once again, that I should not have been rude to others when they replied to me in that thread. I don't really think I gave them a reason to get nasty with me when I started out. I wasn't downright cruel, either. But it's ok. I've learned some things since last night. I really and truly am a good person at heart. I'm a human being with feelings and so are you and all the other members.

Please forgive me and give me the chance I didn't get from very many members here from the beginning. I'm very sorry.

Nella... I wasn't talking to you specifically about that but if you must know you do ask some silly questions that could be easily figured out by reading the post. The House by the Edge of The Park being a prime example, that's not a horribly bad thing as we can all do it but you have got to stop thinking everything is an attack on you.
