the eggs just came from a place of origion that doesnt matter ... the movie suggests that the aliens require the assistance of another species to move and reproduce. lots of these relationships right here on earth. humans, being opportunistic assholes when it comes to dealing with science - constantly think they can tame dangerous things and use them to suit their needs (a la splitting the atom) This was the theme in Aliens (the sequel) |

I would really like to see something about the origin or how the eggs were collected. Obviously the aliens, who do require assistance to live, couldn't ship their own eggs out... they just don't work that way.

You're not suggesting Alien: The Beginning are you?
 All four movies so far have been excellent in their own right, but the wheels are bound to fall off if there is another instalment. Interesting query about the huge being in the crashed spaceship, which is tantalisingly only glimpsed at by Scott's camera and adds a layer of mystery to the whole Alien phenomenon.

so this is really another 'what came first - the alien or the egg' question to ponder ? :D
