I agree and disagree. Some peol]ple may watch horror movies to cope with their problems. But, I just watch them to enjoy myself! And for nudity! :p

Im gonna disagree in my case. I have had some pretty hectic shit happen in my life so that part is true, but I have noticed when I am really stressed out or depressed I stay away from horror movies. I also dont like to listen to music of any kind when I feel that way.

I've had a pretty normal life, i suppose.Just always liked the horror movies.......never gave it much thought.
Some of my fondest memories of when i was a tyke, was getting in my PJs [ the ones with the feet in them ] and loading up the car with snacks for a family fun night at the drive-in.Usually a monster double feature.

I remember my folks took me and my sister to a drive-in to see Batman... then they made me and my sister go to sleep when the horror movie came on. Don't remember what the movie was, but they always did that. They'd step in front of the tv every time the aliens showed up in Aliens.

I've had fucked up things happen to me but I've liked horror movies since I was a kid and everything was peachy and I don't like 'em any more or less now. I've got friends who've had a great life and some who haven't had the best of luck and they like horror movies all the same so I have to disagree.

Some have speculated, that the horror movie is, in part, a rehersel for death.
And I can well belive that. How many of us have slowed our cars down to take a peek at the wreckage on the hiway. To see the twisted shattered cars and bleeding bodies? To see the still warm blood flowing across the hot-top.To,to.. oh, God, give me a moment, just want to get my sipper down, ok,ok. Ya look at that! oh,oh, Ok. Im much better now.
