I still don't understand why people get angry about movies being remade, what's the big deal? Who cares if it doesn't end up meeting your ridiculously high standards.

agree...but I dont watch it if i know its crap...like those "Shining" movies....I know they cant compare with the Kubrick version...so I havent watch them ....and I never will.....:)

Actually the movie was not a remake but a retelling of the same story. That's why there were a few differences from the "original."

The new Shining was really good. It was more like the book then the movie was. I really didn't like the movie too much to be honest.
