I can probably solve the problem.... btw when I say version I mean cover version, and not film version.

There were several releases of the Film the original DVD release came with a booklet, and then the further two region 1&2 maybe other regions aswell, came with no booklet....

The original DVD release of The Thing had a cover that looked like this. It was a 1 Disc Collectors Edition. This version came with a booklet that contained info about the film. The DVD contained extras. It was released around 1999.

A few years later, approx 2003 another version of the film was released on DVD.....Region2 had this cover. This was a 1 Disc version. The cover was changed to a similar style to the PC game of the film. This version contained no Booklet, but contained the same extras on the DVD, as the original Collectors Edition.

Also, around 2004, another version of the Film which I believe is Region1, which had a different cover. This is a 1 disk Collectors Edition. However I do not personally know if this does come with a booklet, but I believe it has the same Extras on the Disc as the other versions. Sedated_replica, from your description of the cover It sounds like you have this version and it has no booklet.

I am cursed with being a completists and I would have had to buy that version otherwide.

I already replaced my VHS with LAser, and my Laser with DVD.
I dont want to get into this habit of replacing DVDs with other DVDs

i've done it with a number of films .. its a real money game now.

I didnt even know there was a Zombie 2

I'm a bit confused because I know the names are different
in other countries.
I have Zombie .. (with Farrow and the eyeball impalement - anchor bay)
is there another zombie after that ?

My collection jumps to Zombie 4 and 5 after that .. crappy films too the both of them.
