I haven't seen a lot of those. You forgot "The Legend of Hell House", too.

Maybe I need to check a few of those out ....

Yeah, it's titled just "House". Try looking it up by actor ... William Katt. The greatest American hero, no doubt.

when the house was made?
my experience with horror moviez isn't large... but the best haunting movie I have seen... I should say its "Amityville horror" and other parts of it (part 2;3;4...) should be cool also. And this movie is one of thoose, which are worth your money.

No, no. The Legend of Hell House was based on the novel "Hell House" by Richard Matheson. The original version of The Haunting was based on "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson.

Haven't we been through this one time already? lol

The sequels aren't cool. They are bad actually.

Hauntings

Best "haunting" movie I have seen recently is David Twohey's "BELOW," a haunted submarine flick. I thought it was a lot of fun, and scary as heck, too.

Was fairly lucky to see Robert Wise's "THE HAUNTING" at a revival theatre about two years ago, and that was sweeeeeet, too. The print was a little scratchy, but I was a happy person. That house is pretty creepy on the big screen.

I hate the Others. If "The Others" was a person i would punch him square in the face.

Have to go with Amityville Horror. One of my favorites. And the Haunting sucks (remake).

Stir of Echoes was good though.
