..a very good book
In-depth reviews, cast and plot details, histories, and illustrations of everything from cheesy no-budget exploitation to the embarassing efforts of major studios.

Just finished a mystery anthology called Dangerous Women edited by Otto Penzler. Some excellent stories there especially by Joyce Carol Oates, John Connolly, Ian Rankin and Thomas H. Cook. Now I am reading Flights: Extreme Visions of Fantasy edited by Al Sarrantonio. Very good so far.
I also picked up a couple of Neil Gaiman books because I saw his name mentioned here, will start those next (and he also has a story in the fantasy collection I am reading now).

The Red Church by Scott Nicholson, a story about an evil congregation in the Appalachians. Not all that impressive. For some reason, I got the feeling that it was a book that had been shelved for a few years and had been dug out for release. Some of the cultural references are a bit dated, but 2002 is the year of publication.
