I actually found Maniac to be extremely overrated, especially after seeing it in a book as one of the 10 most disturbing movies ever made.

It was kind of boring and a little silly, to be honest. Very low-budget feel that didn't fit quite right.

The only scene I liked was the end. Maybe worth a viewing for that.

You talking about the 80's one? I cant really imagine the '34 version being on any kind of top 10 list:p

The Haunting (1963)

Truly a horrifying film. Watch this alone in the right room with the right mood and the atmosphere is absolutely terrifying.

I saw it when it first came out, sio I was like...9? I didnt even know it was a remake:o...oh well, I guess I had good taste for a kid, I thought it was horrible:p.
