A Rankin/Bass stop-motion movie with all the classic monsters and Phyllis Diller to boot...what could go wrong?
Everything.
It is without a doubt the worst Rankin/Bass production. Nothing about this movie works. I remember it from my childhood, but hadn't seen it in ages. It's terrible. The pacing is miserably slow, scenes drag on without a point and the voice acting is completely uninspired.
The look is beautiful and the story isn't bad, but everything else fails.
