Disturbia. Not bad. Not great. Interesting enough to sit through once, but kinda tired of rear-window remakes. Or any hitchcock remake for that matter.
The Hitcher (remake). Liked it a lot. bloody, unrepetant, brutal. very nice. too bad i watched it before disturbia or i would have ended last nights viewing a little happier.

Apocalypto
Amazing costuming, make-up, gore, sets and a dizzying pace makes this one a damn good time, but... SPOILER WARING I'm not buying the solar eclipse scene at all. The Maya were incredible astronomers and mathematicians. They mapped the paths of the sun, moon and stars with incredible precision - I'm pretty sure they'd know exactly when a solar eclipse would occur. END SPOILER other than that - fun stuff, excellent visual story-telling 8/10 |
