I didn't find the atmosphere to be more intense than many other slasher movies i've seen. The only thing that was going for this movie was the "amusement park" ride theme. THAT was a little original.

Documentary dealing with a group of New York City homeless that set up a small community in an abandoned subway station far below the streets of New York to keep safe from police, misfits and weather. Their home made community comes complete with shacks built from scrap, electricity stolen right off the 3rd rail, and broken pipes that act as showers. It's an interesting look into the lives of homeless people, but it was as impactful as I had been hoping it would be. B-

Interesting take on the slasher genre. It almost takes a sympathetic view of the serial killer at the center of the story. The story was decent, the gore FX were OUTSTANDING, especially the shotgun decapitation and the ripped apart scene. This is probably some of Savini's best work. The acting was okay, the directing was decent. I recommend this to slasher fans. It's straightforward, gory and twisted. C+
