I wont say it's overrated - i hate that word - it's popularity speaks for itself ... it just does't hit me the way Evil Dead did on any level. (i probably watched The Evil Dead about 20 times .. The Godfather - 2 - maybe 3 times) quality vs entertainment maybe ? to be honest - the only gangster themed movie i like is Millers Crossing which i think is about 1000X better than The Godfather.
