First off, Shyamalan needs to stick to brief cameos a la Hitchcock and definately not give himself a main character role because he can't act. Secondly, there is no such thing as a 'thriller-comedy', but it seemed like that was what this was trying to be. The film kept building suspense only to undo it by some off-beat, out of place lame attempt at humor. Thirdly, the story pretty much sucked. I give Shyamalan credit for thinking up original ideas, but that's about where the credit ends because this original idea flat out sucked. And finally, I was disappointed that I watched this whole movie expecting some sort of big twist at the end like all of his other films, but it never came. (The slight twist that was there was nothing major and was relatively unsubstantial.)
All in all, I just thought this movie sucked. I'd give it an F, but I have to give the slightest credit for originality.

i'll be damned - there's something we can agree on.
i think it was nothing more than a gross exercise in self-indulgence.
