I thought it was great. I'd give it a 8 or so out of 10. My wife and I got into a discussion about whether Trevor was alive or dead. The dead theory being him being in purgatory, so to speak, until he comes to grip with what he has done. I want to watch it again to try to get some clarity there.

Also, Bale is a madman for losing that much freakin' weight.

The Machinist is a great and very dark film that worked on all levels.

If you liked that, you'd like The Jacket, with Adrien Brody and Kiera Knightley. In fact, I think I liked it better. Similar flicks, though.

Last night (2:30am to 4am) it was a great time for me as I saw it for the first time!

Though it's not a good thing to make a comparison with its remake but I have to say Micharl Bay did a superb job too in 2003.
More or less in all segments & departments (begining, ending, script & others), I actually enjoyed TCM'2003 more than the TCM'1974!
But all credits obviously goes to Tobe Hooper who created this legendary flicks at that time.

[Btw, can anyone tell me..what happened to Jerry?:o]
*Spoilers*

He went into the house to look for kurt and pam ,and leatherface smacked him in the head with a hammer.
