Black Christmas (1974)

It was an alright movie with a pretty damn effective ending. It wasn't anything spectacular, and it certainly wasn't as good as Halloween is (I know, I know, Halloween owes everything it had to BC...but Halloween is a superior film).

Good cast, though, with good performances.

Well, they air on Spike and Space every once in a while, marathon-style, and back a few years I remember catching some bits of the sequels. I've seen a few of the more recent sequels (ie - the shitty installments like H20), but nothing of the originals. I wasn't too drawn to ever seeing the first two... before recently, when over 20 members had it as their top #1 favourite horror film. Then I knew I HAD to see it.

I'm worried that after seeing it I'll be dissapointed... after all this hype I've created, and others, around it.

Anyway... thoughts after each one.

Open Season ..

pretty funny - great casting of Billy Connelly.
the usual sucky message and ending as almost every other kids films but this one was better than most.

The Amityville Horror [2005]
I thought it was solid, and much better than the shitty OG version.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
Y'all definitely need to go see this. Fantastic movie. The best theatrically released horror movie I've seen a long damn time.
