Yeah, I would agree that it might lean more towards fantasy. No matter what genre it falls into, it's still a crappy movie.

League may be crappy, but I enjoyed it a lot more than other crappy movies.
I liked it WAY more than Van Helsing, anyway.:)

Agreed, Van Helsing was way more annoying. Maybe it had to do with the fact that I actually paid money to see it at the theatre.

Stone:
Great late 70s Aussie biker flick. I really like this one.

Malevolence:
Basically a Halloween rip off but it had some great bleak atomosphere and a few chills which saved it from being just a run of the mill slasher. Could've done with more gore. I dug it anyways and it worth a watch.

Janis

This was a decent Janis Joplin documentary, but aside from the concert footage, it wasn't much I hadn't seen before.

Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2

Okay, I have a couple issues with this movie... 1, if you are gonna title a movie Book of Shadows, doesn't it stand to reason that a book would play prominently into the film? It doesn't. 2, the plot is ridiculous.

I enjoyed the start & end of this movie but there are just way too many plot holes to make this film good. At one point during one of the films most outlandish plotpoints, a character says "This doesn't make any sense." Boy, did he hit the nail on the head.

I don't know... It had potential, but it wasn't exectued properly or even anywhere close to properly.

"Living High"...just got it on new release thinking it may be funny...it wasn't a great film, or even close, but there were a couple of scenes that made me laugh pretty hard.
like...4/10?

And so my Film list continues...

Brothers Grimm

I have to say I was slightly disappointed with this. Looking back now (and it was a while ago I watched this) I can't help but wish that Tim Burton had made this film instead. It was... ok... dark in parts and I found it novel incorporating fairy tales into the one story but I also found it rather slow paced and the effects could have been better. Unless you feel a real need to watch this I'm sure there are much better 'dark fantasy' films than this. Brothers Grimm: ok, watchable but certainly not unmissable.

6/10

King Kong (Jackson Remake)

Wow. What can I say...as a kid I loved the original, as an adult I love the remake just as much. I didn't find this film long winded and dull nor did I think certain scenes could have been shortened to improve the movie. I simply loved it. Effects were amazing, acting was great - I really can't think of a bad thing to say about this.

10/10

The Off Season

Hmmmm. Now this film in my huge stack of 'recently watched' I find hard to remember fully. This means one thing - unmemorable, easily forgettable...move on to the next film please!
I banged the disc back in to check the trailer as a recap...this low budget movie is not one of the better ghost stories I have watched, effects were less than average, plot wasn't great and the acting was less than average being polite.

Off Season - not the worst I've seen - 5/10

The Woodsman

Why did I buy this movie? Why Did I not turn the movie off sooner? Why have I not listed it on ebay? Why review it?...basically to try and help you avoid the mistake I made when thinking...hmmm that sounds an interesting role for Mr Bacon - I'll check that out. Big Mistake! Possibly one of the most boring, pointless movies I have seen in years. Kevin Bacon plays the role of a paedophile who is being released back into society - this film I assume was meant to at least give the viewer an option of feeling sympathy towards the main character? Well if it was, it failed miserably. Not only did I not feel sympathy I got more enraged about the issues than before the film started! This film was a total waste of my time, please don't allow it to be a waste of yours.

Woodsman 2/10 (I give it higher than 1 because it came in a nice gatefold edition sleeve).
