I have to admit I haven't been as active since the new rules started last year. When I was lurking I used to laugh like hell at ShankS, Kpro, and others who would post a funny picture and a funny fuck you or stfu to the n00bs. Thats one of the reasons I joined, you could have some good natured ribbing and some of the humor here was halarious. When I would flame a n00b I usually ended it with a smiley or a wink so the n00b knew it was all in fun. Most of them got it and joined in and the ones who didn't I'd PM them explaining its all in fun. But most of the fun has been taken out of this place...... The problem I have noticed in the last few years is that it seems to be the same handful of folks who always seem to be in the middle of this. I really like everyone here, haven't had a problem with anyone really so hopefully no one takes this personally. I really enjoy cheeba's posts and insights but he is without a doubt the most sensitive person I have ever seen on a forum. He gets so fired up and pissed off so quickly its almost comical. That being said, we all know that and there seems to be the same group of people who insist on rattling his chain because they know they can. The funny thing about it is every time there is a major flame war everyone complains but one thing is also for sure, we ALL want to read it and see whats coming next. I can't count how many times I've read someone say "Damn, I wish I could of read that but the threads been locked". So all this sniveling is funny to me because nothing is really going to change. Maybe we need a seperate forum where one can challenge someone they have a problem with to a smack off and those who don't want to read it don't have to go there......but you all know you're gonna take a peek. Or just use the PM and keep it out of the forum all together. And don't worry BR, you're doing a hell of a job moderating us bunch of A-Holes. Keep up the good work Hotstuff!!!!! :p ;) :D Well that's my $20.00 worth.....I'm older than most of you kids who only have 2 cents, my bank account is a little further along :D Well time for this old guy to have a beer and fall asleep on the couch watching the Yankees kick the WhiteSox ass..... Although I'm a filthy n00b, Rayne did ask for everyone to chip in, so here I am.
As an outsider (of sorts, but I'm trying) it's hard to tell, but it seems like there has been some history between Cheeba and Deposable, so it all lies in the context. It's a little different but: if a guy at work has already had warnings for being a perv, and then he gets sacked for slapping a female co-worker's ass, he can't complain too much when a first-time offender does the same... if you see what I mean. Okay, bad analogy. All I mean is, if shit's gone down before, and people have been called up on it, then they have no right to bitch if they get caught out again - regardless of the level of the offence.
