comp help please
i think i just messed myself up by downloading a virus, when i click to get online the "open with" box comes up and lists all my programs.....can someone help me fix that and suggest how i can fix the virus? is there something free online that can help?

I've not seen anything like that before, sorry..... maybe do a sytem restore if you don't have to much on your pc, or just move stuff to an external drive then do system restore ....

that was the first thing i tried, they disabled the next button or something because it wont let me do it.

Do you have antivirus? If so, scan and see what comes up.
If not, can you get online at all? If you can, go to an online scanner eg at eset.com and do a scan. You can set default programs by clicking on Start>Default Programs>Set Default Programs (this is for Vista, there is something similar for XP but can't remember the exact mouse clicks). Otherwise, download an antivirus program on another computer, copy onto a usb stick, and install it to your computer and run. If all else fails, back up your data and reinstall.
