i could not be more proud of Lily.


Bree made a felt board using a couple of pieces of purple felt and some cardboard. She has been using it to teach Lily the song bingo, some song about 5 little frogs on a log, hickory dickory dock, stuff like that. Well, after a day or two of doing bingo, i was holding the board (this was a bit before i found out i got that job ;)) bullshitting with bree, and lily starts playing with the letters which were in a pile.

first she spelled "bigno", stopped, looked at it for a second, then switched the g and n to make "Bingo"! Bree and I were completely caught off guard. Why is this so spectacular?

Lily is 2 and a half. Because of her height and how clearly and articulately she speaks, she often gets mistaken for being 4 or 5. SO anyone with babies, make note of this, they arent joking when they say read to your kids at least 20 minutes a day. Bree (and to a lesser extent, me) have been reading to her 20 to 60 minutes a day since we brought her home from the hospital, and apparently we are already reaping the benefits of it.

The downside, she is going through several typical 4 and 5 year old phases (the big one being rebellion, followed by "why?"

hahahahah i know that, Silly. Aside from the chair, she is still very tall. I have 2 year old cousins and they're not that tall.

she's about 37" tall. :)


bree is 5' 8", and at 6' im short for my family, so she is going to ber a damn amazon.
