I often use my picture as my avatar because I feel that it helps to make this place a little less 'impersonal'...I like to be able to 'look at' the person that I'm 'talking' to, and I think that a lot of people feel the same way...I really wish that ALL of you guys would use your pictures as your avatars...But, it doesn't really look like it's catching on.....Oh well...

I always have a heavy rotation of evil clowns, jesters or any other type of insane; makeup-wearing freaks.
My reasoning is I hate/fear clowns. I choose the avatars as symbolism for facing my fear. However, I truly believe that I am not all too different from someone who looks happy/harmless on the outside...but underneath the "makeup" lies a dark; tortured soul. So, in a weird way...I am fearing what I can actually relate to. Plus, I choose the avatars because they seem to match my screen name pretty well. I've used "Haphazard" for everything from way back in the day. The name was for a comic book villain I had created. (not a clown). I have assumed Haphazard as my alter ego. No rhyme or reason for most of the things I do.
