I saw IT, Pet Cemetary and Misery when I was just a kid (6 or7). IT contributed to the ever-popular irrational fear of clowns (Tim Curry was awesome, there's no denying that) and I remember the scene in Pet Cemetary when Rachael's mother came back to life and she was calling "Rachael... Rachael... Rachael" and my older sister (named Rachael) covered her eyes and told me to describe what the lady looked like... Being six years old, I tried to think of the scariest things to tell her and I said "Her nose is where her eyes are supposed to be, and her eyes are where her ears are supposed to be.. and she doesn't have any hair and there's teeth on her head!"

... I share too much on this message board.

Anyway, The Shining.. I loved that one. Stand By Me was awesome, but not really a scary movie... Carrie was good, but not as good as The Shining. I'm anxiously awaiting Riding The Bullet to be released in October.

Not horror but two of King's best books, and were made in two of the best movies EVER MADE@!!

The Green Mile
The Shawshank Redemption

Of his horror stuff:

Pet Semetary (disturbing book and movie/ kid with scalpel etc.)

Misery (Kathy Bates is amazing, book is better, is actually more gruesome than the movie. You know the scene with the sledgehammer, in the book its MUCH worse. Involves and axe and a blow torch to carterize the wounds!!!)

Children of the Corn (Satanic sh*t is always scary!)

His best films have gotta be Stand by Me and the Shawshank Redemption.

As for horror, well.....to be honest, i'm not really amazed by the films they've made of his horror stories. Tend to be a bit hit an miss. Would probably say i like IT the most but only cos i'm shit scared of clowns.

Ay seen the movie of The Dark Half. Is it good??? Jus read the book and its really good.

Would like to see Apt Pupil as well. Fuckin good story.

Latas......p x

Pet Semetary, Creepshow, Misery, Apt Pupil(I think that is how it's spelled), and The Dead Zone.

When I saw the shining I was too young to remember it.
I remember getting freaked out by it though lol.

Pet Semetary has some of the best Ramones songs ever.
