Thanks for the info guys...just looking up HR-ish type answers to line up for those questions and a few others, hoping to try and link my current work with aspects of the role.

What are your major weaknesses?
That asked that at my last interview (it was my recall one) and I was so close to saying:

'If any any thing I'm too much of a perfectionist, I really strive to get everything 100%...well that....and I wet the bed...'

I'm sorry I didn't now..I got the job but i still think i would of got it. I mnetioned it to one of the ppl interviewing me weeks later and she cracked up...

I have been involved in interview panels in the past, but haven't done it for a few years now.

I think Chrono's list is a good one.

From what I recall, we used to structure the interview questions so that there was one that asked them something about why they wanted the job and would be suited to the job; one that tested a little of their technical knowledge with regards to the job; and one question that was a bit "left field" but still related to the job - maybe something that asked a bit about themselves but showed something of their personality.

It is always a good idea to learn a bit about the company that you are trying to get a job with. For example, what fields to they do business in, what are their current innovations or projects, future directions if you can find out, and something about the corporate culture. That way you can tailor your answers to the likely questions to show that you "fit in" with the organisation, and that you know a little about what they do.

Went to the interview yesterday...it wasn't actually all that uncomfortable.
Did I feel like I answered all the questions off the bat, like a pro?
Nope. Ha.
Shit, I fucked up on "what's EEO?" (Equal employment oppertunity:rolleyes: ) I just didn't know the abbrehviated term, had they asked me what it MEANT, they'd have got the best answer ever, but hey.
Other than that, and not being 100% familiar with the role already, I FEEL that it went alright, but yknow...some interviews that've felt good haven't worked out, some that have felt terrible, have...so, time'll tell.
I guess I didn't completely fuck it up, because I'm still booked for this "third stage" presentation thing.
Found out a bit more about that.
I go in, I'm given a topic/subject matter, 15 minutes to look it over and then make a "presentation", just formulate an opinion on it, have a brief talk about it...doesn't seem all that bad, I guess they can't expect anything of brilliance outta 15 minutes, eh? (Heh, I already indicated an area of improvement would be public speaking).
Either way, they now know I've enrolled to study the suject on an ongoing basis, so I'm not SURE, but I think that oughta carry me some.
So yeah, the saga continues for now.
