Bah! The only reason should be a supernatural one. None of this infection or alien crap. Just good old fashioned magic/curses/happens for no reason.

Nah I like the Frankenscience themes from a few flicks. Not a fan of 28 Days Later etc but dig the contamination kinda stuff because it could possibly happen for real.
