Does anyone know the title of this film?
Hi there,
I'm trying to find out the name of this movie I saw which I think might have been made in the 70s. It's about a girl that falls from her horse while horseback riding in the country and is paralyzed from the waist down as a result. She's very angry and rejects the nurses her father hires to help her but then a very strange older lady appears on the scene and tells the girl she will walk again. The "stranger" turns out to be a witch or otherwise in league with the devil and as the girl becomes a "believer" and accepts the devil as her master, at last she's able to walk again! The strange lady has a large black bag she carries with her and whenever anyone goes near it, she senses it. When the father eventually discovers what's going on and attempts to kill the stranger with an ax, she takes on the form of an innocent little girl and he's unable to strike. Eventually the stranger is destroyed and the girl that was healed becomes paralyzed again. This was a very good movie... Last edited by Zody Ack; 09-24-2008 at 11:06 PM.

Sounds really cool. I've never seen anything that even comes close to the story.
