The jumping in the air bit...only two films came to mind, neither of them particularly sounds like yours, but I got Beetlejuice, and Mister Vampire.
Beggining bit sounds like both, but overall sounds more like MV.

It's neither.
I'm 100% sure it wasn't an Asian horror movie. Also, the jumping part isn't in the very beginning of the movie as i recall it, but more like 30 minutes in it.
