Thumbs down

Evening - uber-chick flick (give me a break, I had a date) Vanesa Redgrave was great, Claire Danes was serviceable. Overall, it would have been a good stage play, but was a fairly boring film!

Well, overall it was pretty cool. Plenty of gore, decent acting, much cooler story than the original HHE2, but it had one major drawback... I just don't find anything remotely entertaining about rape scenes and this has a couple.

C+
I never saw the original sequel, but sadly, I thought that this one was a bit lame. The rape scenes piss me off more than anything, the story was boring and some of the things they did were just stupid. Even for rookie soldiers, they were quite dumb. I really wouldn't recommend this one to anyone, personally. I did like the first remake. They did a good job, kept to the story perfectly.

Hairspray (2007)

What a great remake, I had fun with every second of it.

Event Horizon

Hadn't viewed it since its theatrical release. Hated it then. Not sure why...maybe I was a bigger film snob in my youth. It still feels uneven and it doesn't have anything to say, but it's an enjoyable diversion.

6.9/10
