I haven't been all that much of a fan since the ''attitude era''.

I do. There's good stuff if you know where to look.

Austion: They don't have a weekly show, but if you're in Canada then you can look for the Fight Network and they show ROH. Other than that, click the link in my sig and buy DVDs from them.

I think i stopped liking it as soon as John Cena came on the scene. Up to the point where Brock Lesnar was still wrestling.

I think the only thing ive seen occasionally and thought was good was TNA. Only because it has Sting. And some of the old WCW/WWF wrestlers.

  • Supercard of Honor, probably the best show you could get. Has a great strong style main event, a womens match that's actually good (with the best version of "stop hitting yourself" ever), a really good tag match, Delirious, and a 6-man match that is, without a doubt, THE best match of 2006
  • Joe vs. Punk II, okay undercard, but the thing to get the show for is Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk. Great, great match.
  • Joe vs. Kobashi, same as Joe vs. Punk II, only with a better undercard.

So, if you only get one of their shows, I'd say get Supercard of Honor. There's some ROH vs. CZW stuff that might be a bit hard to follow going in blind, but for the most part there's nothing that would require watching another show to get into.

Although, you could always get Best of CM Punk vol. 1 and 2. 2 has better match quality, and some really great interaction between Punk and Steve Corino, but vol. 1 has the bulk of the Raven vs. Punk feud that sets up the blowoff on vol. 2. And the Punk/Joe shoot interview is really entertaining stuff, but it's a 3 hour interview, no matches.

it's false. He refused to take time off to heal up his injuries, so they fired him to avoid the PR nightmare of them killing an olympic athelete.
