Halloween This reboot/sequel makes a fine addition to the series, with a good build up and a few good kills to boot. Fitting both the times and the overall canon. Laurie Strode is written as a badass and Jamie Lee Curtis pulls it off very well. We get a "final confrontation" like in H20, though this one does not leave (obvious) sequel bait. Which is a nice change. In fact, the abrupt-ish ending kind of reminded me of the original Texas Chainsaw. Good stuff. Looking forward to seeing Halloween Kills. Ps: And they STILL did not revive Ben Tramer. Disappointed.

1-900 If it's meant to show the sadness behind the sex lines, it achieved its goal. Sadly, there does not seem to be a build up towards anything. It's mostly just monotonous variations on the same theme.

| 6.5/10 I don't think a Purge movie can be boring, to be fair. Liked this one also. Funny, but this might actually happen in the case, well, you know ... the Purge actually happens. 7.5/10 A chilling horror anthology comprising five short stories, penned by an unlikely group of aspiring writers, in Sugarton - a small town plagued by the apparent return of an infamous serial killer, dubbed "Cutthroat." They've come to share their scary stories Liked this, smart anthology. Last edited by Ringo; 10-16-2021 at 01:19 PM. |

Halloween Kills. I was very disappointed. I agree with Deadbeat, i also did not like the story. Michael's kills were fun, it's got that going for it. Anthony Michael Hall running around screaming 'Evil dies tonight!!' was SO cringe. Ugh.
