Horror Movie Talk/Rate
Hey, this is GoreHound13. im an avid horror movie watcher. here are some of my favorites and some that arent, ive rated them all out of 10, feel free to comment.
Also thanks to neverending, ive decided to write up all my own overviews on each movie i rate. I did not realise people would be upset by me copying and pasting the generic overviews of movies, but if even one persons unhappy with it then i might as well change it. Omega Man (1971) - Charlton Heston, Anthony Zerbe, Rosalind Cash. 7.9 out of 10
U.S. Army Colonel Robert Neville, M.D. (Charlton Heston), is the last man on earth after biological warfare... or so he thinks. not only have the survivors become nocturnal homicidal mutants who are looking to do the colonel in, but there are also human survivors on the outskirts of town. The colonel realises he has the cure to this plague inside him while trying to save a young boy, im not going to ruin the ending but this is a great movie, classic zombie like flick. I found it somewhat amusing at parts and somewhat scarry if your afraid of being alone and surrounded by albino freaks looking to kill you. Last edited by GoreHound13; 11-16-2010 at 02:00 AM. |

The Crow: City of Angles (1996) - Tim Pope, sadly no original actors, 8.2 out of 10
Ashe Corven (Vincent Pérez) and his eight year-old son Danny (Eric Acosta) to witness a gang of Judah Earl's (Richard Brooks) thugs murdering a fellow drug dealer. Judah has Ashe and Danny killed and there bodies ditched off the dock. A year later, a young woman named Sarah (Mia Kirshner) ends up getting involved with the dead Ashe (now the crow) and Ashe gets his revenge on all the gang members who were there the night they killed his son. lots of action, however with most horror sequals the original actors dont last, much in this case with Eric Draven (the original Crow played by Brandon Lee). Exorcist: The Begining (2005) Renny Harlin, 8.6 out of 10
Great movie, not as good as the original however, they made it a prequal but its still good, there's a chirch unburried in Kenya and it unearths a demonic spirit that begins to posses people of the village. Has a great fight scene and an even more epic final battle between good and evil as the ex priest picks up his bible one more time because its the only way to vanquish the demon from the people around him. Bit of a love interest thing, never cared for that in a horror, pretty chilling imagry, overall great movie... just couldnt surpass the 1973 original. Doom (2005) Andrzej Bartkowiak, staring the rock. 7.3 out of 10
Pretty good movie, the Rock and his team of soldiers kills a lot of mutants from another dimention in a secure hightech facility, then as the movie progresses you can predict the enevitable events that will draw the movie to a close, because it turns out the transdimentional mutants arent this crews only problem. not bad movie, nice backstory, pretty good twists. solid movie. I know i copy and pasted, whats your point? i just wanted to post up some movies in my collection and used generic overviews, i didnt know that was a crime. if everyone would prefer i could just put my own overview on them? but you just have to say so. you dont need to put someone down for trying to publicise some good horror movies.

I have officialy fixed all my copy and pasting and put in all my own words so no complaints now, thanks again to neverending for pointing out that using my own words instead of the cutting and pasting would be better. more to come, when i watch them to refresh my memory.
