Book Help Please

I'm trying to find the name of a book that came out in paperback circa early '90's.

Was a horror book, with a redish cover and an emaciated face rising from it. Can't remember the author but was a reasonably famous one as I remember seeing an advertisement at the cinema.

Think the title is just one word. Don't know much of the plot, just that the first scene or two revolved around a graveyard and the main character watching someone acting odd over a grave.

Anyone know what I mean?

You don't find it a trifle bit coincidental he "found" the very book he came here looking for less than 20 minutes after he posted the question?

You think James Herbert showed up here to spam about a book he published 19 years ago?

No, but some film producer or director may have acquired the rights to the book or may be fishing for interested about the book before acquiring the film rights.
