Toronto and Area Film Locations
One of the things I always wanted to do was to drive around and get shots of the local locations used in the horror movies we've seen.
I wanted to do a thread and post an ongoing album of those shots. So I'll start with some photos of the place where the opening sequence for Silent Hill was shot. feel free to add to the thread if you have taken similar pics (i'm limited to Toronto and area)      next up - when i find them - i have shots from the graveyard used in Land of the Dead, and Resident Evil 2

nice shots Urge.
Here in R.I. they seem to shoot mostly comedys...a few gangster type movies. The Farrelly bros do a lot of their filming here. I can't recall any horror movies shot here although it would be a great location...we have woods, ocean, many historical landmarks.....sheesh, I sound like I work for the Rhode Island Tourism Division.:rolleyes:

I stayed a couple nights in a Barn that was in Pet Cemetary. i think thats all ive seen regarding filming locations.

Funny...two days after this thread started and I read this in the local paper.
Josh Lucas and Lena Headey will begin filming Tell-Tale, a loose contemporary update of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic The Tell-Tale Heart, Monday on locations in Burrillville and Providence. Lucas, star of the films Stealth and Poseidon, will play a single father whose recently transplanted heart leads him on a frantic search to find the donor’s murderer before a similar fate befalls him. Poe’s 1843 short story revolves around a mad narrator who commits murder and is then haunted by the sound of the man’s relentless heartbeat. Tell-Tale is being produced by Poe Boy Productions, an arm of the company helmed by director brothers Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Gladiator, American Gangster) and Tony Scott (Top Gun, Crimson Tide). The film’s director is Michael Cuesta, who has directed independent films and episodes of the TV series Dexter and Six Feet Under. The Bermuda-born Headey is a British actress who has the title role in the Fox TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and has appeared in the films The Brothers Grimm and 300. Location sites are to include the Zambarano Hospital in Burrillville and the Fogarty Judicial Complex in Providence. The filmmakers are scheduled to be in Rhode Island through April. •
